Captain's Crew n' Creed
In 2017, Captain Tye Dye hatched, fully grown, on the sandy shores of Keystone Lake, Oklahoma. Like a love child of Frosty the Snowman and Captain Underpants, CTD popped in with his top hat and pipe, his cape, and the long johns of many colors. With His trusty sidekicks, Rascal and General, CTD set up camp in the festival scene, accompanied by an ever-changing array of scallywags and maidens of dubious virtue.
When family medical issues arose, what started as a hobby and creative outlet began to take center stage. Soda ash, twine, boiling water and ice combined in the clawfoot tub of a converted shipping container to meet financial needs. Basic spirals and splotches gave way to fractals, bleach, and reverse mandalas. A small but dedicated following from the mid-west continued growing across the US and Canada, eventually hopping the pond as far as New Zealand!
Rascal
Rascal adopted CTD 7 years ago ish. He was driving a beat up car — that had to have more water than gas — filling the radiator before work, when Rascal jumped in, and together, they've traveled the world round! No matter what, Rascal's at home anywhere General and Captain Tye Dye be man…
